Accepted Educational Institutions

The AAOMT is a provincial member of the Canadian Federation of Osteopaths (CFO) and is a proud partner of the Osteopathic International Alliance (OIA). The mission of the OIA is to encourage systems of education and regulation that will ensure high standards for safe and effective healthcare from osteopaths and osteopathic physicians.

INTERNATIONAL

Countries that have regulated Osteopathy through their government health ministries based on World Health Organization standards Osteopathic professional education are full members of the Osteopathic International Alliance (OIA). Other countries that haven't regulated Osteopathy, but have an association that meets a high criteria for interpreting the World Health Care standards for Osteopathic professional education are associate members of the OIA. Most Osteopathic education programs that are approved by one of these international associations will meet the Canadian Osteopathic Education standards that associations affiliated with the Canadian Federation of Osteopaths uphold.
